The Cuban president visited the residence where Pereira Neves is staying.
Raul Castro requested the African statesman convey a greeting to Cape Verdean President Pedro Rodrigues Pires and his people, along with the Cubans" gratitude for the examples of solidarity received from that nation.Pereira Neves stated that was an act in consonance with the large friendship that has joined both countries and the Cuban contribution to the struggle for the independence of his homeland in the past, and the socio-economic development in the present, especially in the spheres of health, education, and agriculture.
Cape Verde"s ambassador to Cuba Crispina Gomes attended the meeting.
