Children and adolescents from public schools in Hamilton will participate in the staging of the version of the classic. The dancers will be selected from a group attending a ballet workshop taught by Kenia Garcia and choreographer Eduardo Blanco.
The performance is scheduled for April 27 at the Hamilton Place Theater with Regina Hernandez, Yadil Suarez and Denisse Salvent, in the leading roles.
Founded in 1998 by Cuban Prima Ballerina Assoluta Alicia Alonso, the School of the Cuban National Ballet in Canada aims at promoting the methodology of the Cuban ballet school through courses and workshops.
