This medical facility opened on January 23rd 1896. Nowadays it offers 34 services, admits 50 patients on daily basis, with a staying of seven days as average, explained Delgado to ACN news.
At the Congress opening, Doctor Jorge Gonzalez Perez, rector of the Havana Higher Institute of Medical Sciences, highlighted the importance of these events, celebrated every year that contributed to remember their history as well as acting as a forum to discuss and exchange knowledge and experiences.
The “Calixto Garcia” will run till Friday and includes debates on the latest developments in gastroenterologist, urology, among other topics.
