First bust of Cuban National Hero Jose Martí to Be Unveiled in France

Books and pictures will be exhibited in the Maison de Relations of Montpellier, where the Cuban embassy’s cultural attach to France will give a lecture about the life of Jose Marti.
Montpellier’s City Hall, the Cuba-Solidarity friendship association and the Cuban embassy are in charge of the organization of the celebration of the anniversary of Marti’s birth.
Lezcay is the president of the Caguayo Foundation of Santiago de Cuba and in his work is the history of Cuba. Among his best known works is the image of Che Guevara located in the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Havana. Other works are the equestrian figure of Antonio Maceo, located in Santiago de Cuba; the Monument to the EspÃritu Guerrero (Warrior Spirit), in Puerto Cabello, Venezuela; and the Monument to the Cimarron (fugitive slave), in El Cobre Church in Santiago de Cuba.
