According to experts, Villa's career as a book designer is characterized by good taste, professional responsibility and creativity.

In that regard, they recalled that in book designing, coherence with the topic of the book is vital, as it influences the attractions of the text.

The jury was made up of Carlos Alberto Masvidal (2007 National Book Design Award winner), Radamés Giro, Manuel López Oliva, Edel Morales and Fernando León.

The award will be granted during the upcoming International Book Fair of Havana, scheduled for early 2009.
