This compilation of texts, accompanied by numerous white and black pictures, is a recall of the 50 years of the Cuban revolution. The work includes part of the speeches made by the main stars of the revolution, such as Fidel and Raúl Castro, Che, Camilo Cienfuegos and Carlos Lage.. It also has testimony, texts and declarations of intellectuals, political and artistic personalities, among which there are Paul Estrade, Eduardo Galeano, François Houtart, Ramón Chao, Danny Glover, Pierre Richard, Maurice Lemoine, Rony Brauman, Manu Chao, Rémy Herrera, Jean Ortiz, Danielle Mitterrand, Mariela Castro Espín, Gabriel García Márquez and the own Calvo Ospina. The prologue is written by the famous journalist Ignacio Ramonet.
Hernando Calvo Ospina is a writer and journalists who lives in Franca and who is a month colaboratior of the newspaper Le Monde Diplomatique. He is the author of several published books, among which it is worth mentioning Salsa; Don Pablo Escobar; Perú: los senderos posibles; ¿Disidentes o mercenarios?; Bacardí: la guerra oculta and Colombia, laboratorio de embrujos.
