The José Martí editorial house has a brotherly emulation with a proposal that is capable of attracting like a magnet: El libro mayor de Violeta Parra and Víctor, un canto inconcluso by Joan Jara, the widow of the singer and composer massacred by the regime of Augusto Pinochet.
Arte y Literatura will see the light with Gabriela Mistral, pública y secreta (image), a biography by Volodia Teitelboim, in depth and without myths; Travesías, a poetry book by Reynaldo Lacámara and a compilation that brings together high quality Chilean poets, among them Pablo Neruda and Vicente Huidobro.
Chilean writing have a solid and wealthy tradition, as can be demonstrated by its two Nobel Prize winners, Mistral and Neruda.
The Festival which will go over the country until the start of March will be like a bridge, a dialogue with the literary heritage from our country, with much tradition and history.
