Cuban Judokas to Compete in Paris Grand Slam

The Cuban women had competed earlier in the Arlon Open in Belgium, where they won 4 gold medals and the same amount of bronze titles, in the two- day competition, first in the under-20 and then in the free categories.
Idalis Ortiz, with two titles in the over 78-kilo division, leads the squad's performance, followed by Yanet Bermoy ( 52), and Kaliema Antomachín (78), with one a piece; and Zaylin Lantarón (52), Maricet Espinosa (57), Yurisleidis Lupetey (57), and Yaritza Abel (63), with bronze medals.
The male squad is made up of Yasmani Piker (60), Ronald Girones (66), Yordanis Arencibia (73), Oscar Cárdenas (81), and Jorge Benavides (90), Oreidis Despaigne (100) and Oscar Braison + 100, with Justo Noda as TD.
This French event will gather over 400 judokas from some 50 countries.
