The book, prepared by the Asociación Cubana de Traductores e Intérpretes (Assosiation of Cuban Translators and Interpreters) (ACTI in Spanish), together with the José Martí Editorial House, is made up by the original text, as well as translations into English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese and Arab languages, according to the Cubaliteraria digital site.

Gisela Odio, president of ACTI and researcher Pedro Pablo Rodríguez, the writer of the prologue of the book, were in charge of the speaches in the event, where they highlighted the importance of the work of the Cuban National Hero.

Abdala is the patriotic drama published by the young Martí in the single copy that circulated in Havana through the La Patria Libre newspaper, on January 23, 1869.
