Despite reports about huge volumes of drugs being taken along routes close to Cuba, only 44 suspicious ships and 4 planes were detected near national territory.
According to the Interior Ministry, 13 drug trafficking operations were miscarried at Cuban airports, with the dealers attempting to merchandise to third countries or sell it here.
In addition, 121 tourists were caught with small amounts, and faced customs measures in line with the Cuban legislation.
