CEJ Director Natividad Guerrero Borrego told the press that this year’s meeting would focus on problems that affect the development of children, adolescents and young adults, and ways to improve policies related to this issue.

Specialists from across the country and from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Haiti, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Mexico will present more than 170 works in five round table forums to exam the current youth policies in Ibero-America.

Parallel to the event, courses on sexuality, employment, psychological development, socio-political participation, programs offered by the Cuban government, youth leadership, and child and adolescent rights will be held.

In addition to the CEJ, other sponsors of the gathering are the Cuban Communist Youth League (UJC), the Regional UNESCO office, UNICEF, and the Technical Youth Brigades.
