Perez told Juventud Rebelde daily that Robles, 22, suffered tendonitis in one of his left leg flexors at Tuesday"s indoors event in Lievin, France.

Though the injury does not compromise his future career, the 110m hurdle star will neither run Sunday in Karlsruge, Germany, or Birmingham (the UK) on the 21st, nor in Prague the 26th.

The Olympic titlist felt a strong pain at the second hurdle in his debut of the current winter season and was able to complete the race but had to slow down.

Robles will undergo rehab at home for the August 15-23 out-doors World Championships in Berlin, said National Commissioner Esteban Brice.

"In regular contact with Javier Sotomayor, head of the Cuban delegation to the European tour, we decided immediate return of Dayron and his coach Santiago Antunez," said Brice.
