The event, which will run until Saturday 7, aimed at showing the population from the territory, the contributions accomplished during these 50 years of Revolution, mainly those linked with the improvement of people's quality of life, thanks to the policy of integration of investigation.

Israel Mayo, delegate of the Science, Technology and Environment Ministry, stressed that the event will provide the achievements of the province in the food production, the public health, sustainable use of energy and the realization of more clean productions.

Computer Science and Communications, Biotechnology, Hydrogeology, Education and the Nickel Industry, among others will also exhibit their achievements.

The program for the event includes lectures, workshops and the presentation of work papers, in order to debate on subjects related with the social and economic development of the province.

José Antonio Díaz Duque, vice-minister of the Science, Technology and Environment Ministry, gave a lecture on the environmental challenges in the agricultural production in Cuba.

The executive delivered the Technological Innovation award of the territory to Osmundo Rodríguez from the University of Holguin, for his work Technology of welding for the recovery of fixed clamp of termofusion machines.
