Cuba Looks to Increased Trade with New Zealand

Lyashov's trip to Havana is the first exploratory mission of the company to Cuba and is aimed at identifying areas and projects for eventual collaboration and business deals.
In the interview, the Cuban top diplomat said there is great potential for further development of trade and scientific exchange between the two nations. He mentioned biotechnology and genetic engineering as areas of
higher interest.
New Zealand is currently Cuba's fifth trading partner in Asia Pacific, from where the island imports communication equipments and powder milk.
Cuba in turn exports cigars and growing amounts of coffee, as well as beverages and lobster.
