Cuba's success in fighting drugs and its contributions to international cooperation has a solid recognition worldwide, Granma newspaper reports today.
This country has an effective national program to prevent and face the illegal business of narcotics, Costa stated.
According to official information, Cuba rated in 2008 the second lowest figure of drug seizure in the last 14 years after consolidating strategies in this area.
About 1,801 kgs of those substances were confiscated last year, 260 off the coasts, and most of them associated to an international drug trafficking operation.
