Sexto, who is writing for Cubanow for five years, and who is among its founders, maintains a column in the daily Juventud Rebelde entitled Coloqueando, dedicated to the analysis of problems of Cuban society.
The prize-winning journalist has stood out for his work of critiques, passing judgment on the deficiencies of the economy and on ethical attitudes of sectors of Cuban society, especially its approaches to bureaucracy and the poor operation of anachronistic mechanisms.
The panel of judges emphasized that in his articles and commentaries he is renowned for the “polished style, with sharp judgments, not on a few occasions controversial, but that have helped spread knowledge and awareness.”
