The president of the organizing committee, Mayra Navarro said in a recent press conference that the program includes the theoretical meeting Cuenterapia, the storyteller as a therapeutic companion, taught by the Argentineans Teresa Bustos and Cristina Mendoza.

The Spanish pedagogue Vicente Montiel, will make a dissertation about his experiences to encourage reading habits and his colleague Paqui Trapero will present the topic, La biblioteca, más allá de los cuentos (Library, far beyond the stories).

The event, which is dedicated to the World Day of Oral Stories, next 20 of March, will offer shows for children, young people and adults.

The workshop, Un arte con múltiples funciones (An art with different functions) and a tribute to Luis Carbonell (image), precursor of the genre in the country, complete the proposals.

The Lecuaona Hall of the Gran Teatro de La Habana will be the main venue of the event.
