OFAC fined the cheese and dairy producing company for breaking regulations of the US economic blockade and for making "wire transfer payments in which Cuba or Cuban nationals had an interest" between February 2004 and March 2007.
It is the first sanction of this type since Barack Obama took office last January, which ratifies Washington's hostile policy against Cuba.
Last January 16th, OFAC announced "legal clarifications" that established even stricter regulations on travel to Cuba that affect US travel agencies as well as charter companies and remittances.
