The event, held every year since the early 1060s, celebrates the birthplace of Cuba’s trova (the troubadour genre of voice, song and poetry that is usually accompanied by a guitar) music movement. It provides a unique opportunity for artists, representing different generations to exchange their experiences.

The organizing committee’s president Eduardo Sosa announced that this year’s event will feature artists from all Cuban provinces, as well as foreign guests.

During the festival, amazing trova musicians and groups and wonderful presentations can be enjoyed.
