Oyarzun will bring Cosmética, a group of photographic auto portraits of medium size, inspired in his mixed identity to laugh about the stereotypes imposed by the media.
Most of the Chilean exhibition will reflect the consequences of the military regime of Augusto Pinochet (1973 – 1990) and the repercussion it had in the intellectuality. They will also present works about current topics of economy and migration.
Mario Navarro will present Los sueños de Sttarford beer, a video with which "he gets closer, from a critical view to the over accelerated economic modernization of Chile and of other Latin American countries".
Claudia Aravena, artist with Palestinian origins will show in that same support the works Berlin : been there to be here, 11 de septiembre and Greetings from Palestina, which are based in personal experiences about migration and the search of cultural memory.
The Chilean participation is completed with Gloria and Carolina Loyola and Patrick Hamilton
Over 300 creators from the 5 continents will take part in the Havana Biennial that will be held until next 30 of April.
