The tribute will be held at the Kart Marx Theatre under the general direction of Orlando Cruzata, one of the most experimented organisers of musical shows in Cuba, who will also be in charge of the awarding ceremony the 16 of May in that same stage.

Puerto Rico will also receive another tribute at the America theatre of this capital, on the 22, 23 and 24 of May, with the presentation of shows dedicated to that country, under the artistic consultancy of Jorge Alfaro and in coordination with the Adolfo Guzman Provincial Musical Centre.

The so called Guitar Party will be held with the participation of the prestigious performers of guitar, laud and the Cuban and Pierto Rican tres. This party will be held at the Amadeo Roldan Auditorium Theatre and under the musical direction of Joaquín Betancourt and Víctor Pellegrini.

The event will be especially dedicated to celebrate the 70 years of maestro Leo Brower, who is considered one of the most important guitar players of the world.

Bomba and Plena will be strongly felt here during the festivity of the Cuban Phonograph industry. Such traditional Puerto Rican rhythms will be mixed in the street, cabarets and other locations of the capital with the Cuban Son and Guaracha.

It was confirmed the participation of a big delegation of Puerto Rican musician, artists and intellectuals, among which it is worth mentioning Andy Montañés, Edwin Colón Zayas and Danny Rivera among may others.
