The opening took place at the Cervantes Cultural Center, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.

Marisy's lecture was followed by a pleasant exchange between the diplomat and participants in the activity, who condemned Washington's economic, financial and commercial blockade against the archipelago.

The public also showed its solidarity and support for the release of René González, Gerardo Hernández, Antonio Guerrero, Ramón Labañino and Fernando González, five Cubans unjustly incarcerated in the United States for fighting terrorism.  

Attending the event was Dr. Moseh Bilal, Minister of Information of the Arab Republic of Syria, diplomats, members of the Syria-Cuba Friendship Association, and Syrian professionals who have graduated from Cuban universities.
