The historians of the Province will submit a dozen papers in 28 panels arranged for the scientific meeting, which together with the works by scholars from other regions of Cuba, will foster the enrichment of the national and local historic culture.
Among the papers of the specialists from Ciego de Ávila are “Enrique José Varona's Economic Ideas”, by Edel Tussel and Manuel García; “Doctor José Assef Yara: Life and Works”, by Georgina de la Noval and other authors; “Che in Rosa Liberal”, by José Martin Suárez; “The Treatment of the Contents of Literary Works in History Classes”, by the Doctors Raimundo Ojeda and Ramón Pla, and “General Archaeological Description of a Taíno Area in the Avilanian Territory”, by Jorge Calvera and other authors.
As part of the Congress, the III National Meeting of students of History will be organized in coordination with the Federation of University Students and the Ministry of Education.
