The donation is a joint action between Spain and Brazil, an urgent humanitarian aid due to the big damage left by three powerful hurricanes and two tropical storms.
Cuba has offered for years its solidarity and humanitarian support to other nations, this time it is Cuba that receives donations from 97 countries and from international economic organisms.
Brazil ambassador Bernardo Pericas expressed this is the third shipment from his country, to help those hardest hit in Cuba.
He announced Brazil will soon donate another shipment of powdered milk and vegetable seeds, also in cooperation with Spain.
