In Holguín, Cuba Applies Initiatives for Housing Constructions

The municipalities most affected by the hurricane are currently working on the production of blocks for the construction of internal and external walls with semi-manufacturing machines produced in the factory "26 de Julio", in Holguin.
The initiatives also include the production of elements for floor, clay bricks, dry goods and other construction materials necessary to refurbish housing and centers of production and services damaged by Hurricane Ike.
This work is in addition to ongoing investments to increase the production of the materials industry of the Ministry of Construction, to increase the supply of blocks, sand and gravel, among other things.
Hurricane Ike damage over 120,000 houses in Holguin, 15,000 of which were demolished.
