Alvarez noted the importance of casino and called on children, young people and adults to take advantage of choosing a partner in the many casino rounds that will extend from the countryside to the city.
The Rueda de Casino, as it is known, is the formation of several couples guided by a leader doing figures and changes. Its origin goes back the French contra dance that was in fashion during the 18th century and enjoyed in dance societies or sports casinos from where it derives its name.
To perform this Rueda de Casino at least two couples are necessary and can be as numerous as 20 or more, with guidance for the turns called out by the leader.
For a Rueda to be successful it doesn't need many convoluted turns and benefits from sharp direction.
The leader calls with grace and creativity adorned with phrases and short stories, which allows the Rueda de Casino to be a ribald, joyful and dynamic experience.
