In statements to Prensa Latina, Rodríguez highlighted that since the founding of the NAM in Belgrade in 1961, its 118 members have shown a position of defense of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Arab states, threatened by Israeli occupation.
The NAM has expressed full support of the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in all the area seized by Israel, with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital, said the Cuban Vice Foreign Minister.
The Foreign Ministers from the Arab League will hold a meeting on Saturday and Sunday, followed by a meeting of the heads of state on March 30 and 31.
On March 31, the Second Summit of Heads of State from South America and the Arab
countries will be held, also in Doha.
