The diplomat highlighted the rejection by Caribbean countries of the US economic, financial, commercial blockade, denounced countless times at international forums.
Guyanese ambassador to India Jairam Ronald Gajraj said that Cuban assistance to other countries in health and education has been exceptional.
Dominican ambassador Hans Dannenberg Castellanos also praised Cuba's cooperation efforts with their neighboring countries.
He told participants that after suffering an accident several years ago, doctors in his country and in the United States had given up hope of his recovery and he became paralyzed. However, thanks to a rehabilitation treatment led by Cuban specialists, he now can walk. He has one son and is expecting another.
Ambassadors from Latin America and the Caribbean, and other Indian personalities participated in the conference.
