The Cuban president accepted Manning´s invitation to visit Trinidad and Tobago at a later date.
According to the report, talks developed in the friendly environment which characterizes relations between both Caribbean countries.
When examining other affaire of regional and global interest, they agreed on the importance of supporting efforts leading to the integration of Latin America and the Caribbean.
Taking part in the meeting also were Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodríguez and Trinitarian Minister of Local Governments, Hazle Manning.
The Trinidad Tobago PM was in Cuba last December to participate in the Third Summit Cuba-Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
