Medina stressed that this project is characterized by its human and solidarity nature and not by ideological or religious concepts.
Between 700 and 800 sick people from the Ukraine, Russia and Belarus are treated in Cuba each year, said the specialist, the majority are children that suffered the consequences of the contamination of the accident.
On her part, Nadiezhda Guerazimenko, Ukranian Director of the program highlighted the professionalism of the Cuban doctors whom have treated and cured the majority of the children that have visited the center and have returned to Ukraine.
