Also represented at the meeting were the University of West Indies, the Edna Manley Visual Arts School, members of the selection committee, students and their relatives.
Garcia offered a brief explanation on the International School of Visual Arts and Music and the importance of studying in it, and spoke about Cuban traditions, educational system, and regulations for foreign students.
Following the signing of the corresponding documents by the selected youngsters and their parents was the delivery of their respective passports with their visas, as well as their air tickets to travel to Cuba on April 6.
The closing ceremony and words of appreciation for Cuba were by the prestigious academician Keith Ellis, the first Jamaican to receive the Doctor Honoris Causa title granted by the University of Havana.
