The film proposal, one of last fourth concluded in Cuba, is inspired on the novel entitled Bertillon 166, by the writer Jose Soler Puig, Casa de las Americas Prize, and approaches the insurrection, the rebelliousness and the solidarity in Santiago de Cuba during the secret fight against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista.

The Cuban film will be presented in the main cinemas of the eight municipalities of the territory, as well as in the university center Vladimir Ilich Lenin and in the vocational military school Camilos Cienfuegos, of this city.

This prime opera, a coproduction with Venezuela and the Program Ibermedia, counts on the participation Leonardo Benitez, Annia Bu, Alicia Hechavarria and Raul Lora. The special performances is in charge of Alberto Pujols, Jorge Ali, Fatima Patterson, Patricio Wood, Larisa Vega, Mayra Mazorra, Rene de la Cruz Jr., Georgina Almanza, Heron Vega and Fernando Hechavarria.

During these months the inhabitants of Las Tunas have enjoyed the most recent Cuban film productions such as El cuerno de la abundancia, by Juan Carlos Tabio, and Los dioses rotos, by Ernesto Daranas.
