The US blockade began when neither Obama nor I had been born and it has not succeeded, noted Calderon, who praised the recently partial measures adopted by the White House lifting travel restrictions of Cuban-Americans living in the US to the Caribbean archipelago.
The Mexican head of state explained that his country is friends with Cuba and the United States and it is ready to cooperate in the resolution of problems between both nations.
Calderon stressed that it is now time to look ahead for the good of hemispheric relations.
