Dr. Luis Ramirez, specialist in nutrition of the National Sport Medicine Institute, said that the specialized consultation in nutrition of Holguin is a paradigm for the whole country, for two main reasons, the high scientific level of its works and the positive results reached in patients’ treatment.

For his part Dr Jose Luis Reyna Carralero, the administrator at the Sport Medicine Center in Holguin province, is pleased with the evaluation given by the national entity and assured that such outcome is the fruit of the tenacity and high sense of ownership by each of its workers.

The consultation on nutrition that is opened on Tuesday morning either for people in general, is made up of a dr. in sport medicine, a psychologist, a nurse, a physical culture teacher, and two technicians, one in nutrition (dietitian) and another one in anthropometry.

The patients that witnessed the national visit were not surprised with the results achieved because the consultation, in their opinion, is a marvel to please the most demanding person.

On the other hand, the team that assists (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) the people with different ailments, diabetes, hypertension, cardiopathies, obesity and other non transmissible diseases, is also recognised for its professional consultation.

The Center’s merit grows because these achievements come along with the systematic attention to the active or retired athletes and their relatives.
