Most of the people suffering from the Alzheimer's disease live in developing countries, so America Latina will soon lead the world.
Faced with an increasing aging population -half a million Cuban will be over 80 year old in 15 years-, the island nation is implementing prevention measures for elder people.
If people adopt healthy living standards, dementia cases could be reduced to half in a five to 10 year period, Llibre noted.
