The building's basement was used to store food and wines for the owners.
At present, that area holds the hall Viejo Mundo (Old World), where expensive wines, including many brands from Europe, are stored.
Another hall called Nuevo Mundo (New World) is used to store wines from Chile, Argentina, New Zealand and Australia.
Some 125 brands of wine are available at Palacio de Valle, where they are kept at excellent conditions of temperature and humidity.
