The bibliography consists of written materials in Braille, recordings in records and cassettes, and texts that have been transferred to digital supports gradually.
Librarians who have specialized in providing that service to visually-impaired people, some of whom are blind too, are in charge of these facilities.
So far, the provinces of Cienfuegos, Villa Clara, Santiago de Cuba and Camagüey have their own sections for the visually-impaired at municipal libraries.
