In the opening, artist Stefan Sous will make an interactive light installation that turns environmental sounds in light oscillations similar to those of the screen of a synthesiser.
Passer bys and inhabitants of the Old Plaza, in the Havana Historical Center, will be the main stars and spectators of that project.
Among the musical options there are antique music concerts by the Rayuela group and its Cuban counterpart Ars Longa and performances by the DJ Ziggy Kinder.
Dedicated to the Wold Environment Day, one of the days will pay tribute to the German naturalist Alexander Von Humboldt, with the screening of a documentary of his work.
Added to this there will also be the presentation of a novel inspired in Humboldt and in his colleague Fredrick Gauss, by the writer Daniel Kehlmann and an exhibition by Cuban comic strip artists.
Some other proposals are philately and numismatic exhibitions from this eastern European country, dramatized theatre readings and a movie week with eight premieres of current movie industry.
The event is sponsored by the German Embassy to Cuba, the Ludwig Foundation, the Goethe Institute and the Office of the Historian of the City.
