In statements published on the Radio Rebelde website, Gilberto Garcia Batista, director of the post-graduate group at the Ministry of Education, reported that  they are currently enrolling for the fourth time, with over 115,000 persons registered.

Garcia Batista, PhD in Education announced that approximately 8,000 teachers from all over the country will join the masters course and remarked that the largest number of graduates is from the Santiago de Cuba, Ciego de Avila and Villa Clara provinces. The education levels with the highest number of graduates are elementary and high school.

The masters programme is studied at municipal pedagogical venues which facilitate the teachers’ participation, enabling them to improve their academic levels close to their homes, thus increasing professionalism and teaching quality.
