Pakistan and Cuba signed an agreement in Islamabad on Sunday for the establishment of a joint commission for the promotion of cooperation in economic, commercial, technical, scientific and other related fields between the two countries.

According to a statement issued here on Saturday, Pakistan and Cuba signed an agreement for the establishment of a joint commission. Sibtain Fazal Halim, Secretary Economic Affairs Division signed the agreement on behalf of government of Pakistan whereas Marcos F. Rodriguez Costa, Deputy Foreign Minister from the Republic of Cuba on behalf of Cuban government. The commission shall promote cooperation between the two countries in various fields of trade, investment, technical education and other areas of mutual interest.
