When one is a student, time rushes like a flowing river, but we can merely notice it because we are immersed in our lives, seizing every second as if it were the last time.
The fact is that being a student is to be young, and youth is, and it will always be a treasure.
The International Students' Day is celebrated on every November 17th.
On November 17th-1939, the Nazi hordes ran roughshod over the rights of the Czechoslovakian people, then, a group of youngsters led a heroic resistance on the streets of Prague, the capital of that country.
Honoring their brave attitude, the International Student Council- that later would become the International Union of Students - established the date as the International Students' Day, a holiday that it is celebrated in more than 114 nations.
Cuba is a member of the Union, and every year commemorates the Day. The celebrations are different in every corner of the planet. Some students celebrate their day under the fire of machine guns, or claim their rights facing the police.
In Cuba, the International Students' Day is a holiday of laughs and work, of songs and study.
There will never be a better stage in our lives. This is the best moment to live intensely, but also to leave a trail, to open the way that we will take one day.
In Cuba, the International Students' Day is a holiday of laughs and work, of songs and study.
