Fernando Alonso on his 95th Birthday is homaged by Camaguey Ballet

Alonso, cofounder of the Cuban National Ballet (BNC) and of the Cuban Ballet School assured his visit in December to Camagüey.
He was also invited for the celebration of the 42nd anniversary of the Ballet of Camaguey, company he led for 17 years.
Jany Montes de Oca from the Cuban Ballet´s Public Relations Department confirmed the news to the Cuban News Agency (ACN).
Fernando Alonso was born on December 27th 1914 in Havana. He was dancer, director, classic dance teacher and is now aconsultant of the Cuban ballet.
Alonso´s last visit to Camagüey was last October 20 to attend the inauguration of the theater of the Vicentina de la Torre Arts Academy.
The anniversary of the Ballet of Camaguey founded on December 1st 1967 will have two celebrations. The first one will last until December 4th and the second one from December 8th to 13th in Camagüey´s Main Theater.
The Santiago de Cuba and Holguin Ballet, Ededans, Folkloric Ballet of Camagüey and the Artistic Group Maraguan will perform at the ceremony.
