Experts from 14 countries are exchanging experiences in Old Havana from November 30 to December 2 at the 8th International Event on Management and Running of Historical Centers.

Vulnerability, risks and mitigation in disaster situations are the main theme of the event, which will debate 23 lectures and will make recommendations to face problems caused by natural phenomena or by social and economic factors in heritage urban
nucleus.

Cuba will present its very special experience in the rehabilitation of the Havana historical center, a project that has been sponsored by the effort of the nation and the synergy of the community, pointed out Eusebio Leal, Historian of the City.

Patricia Rodríguez, director of the Master Plan for the Whole Revitalization of Old Havana, said that there will be actions proposed against the deterioration of Historical centers in our region.
