12th International Agricultural Fair in Granma

Children, youths and adults enjoyed the inaugural show of the event that brings together cowboys, breeders and farmers from nine Cuban provinces, besides representatives from Mexico, Costa Rica and Guatemala.
The parade of a sample of the animals exhibitions, mariachis performace, and the first semifinal’s proof of the national rodeo championship, were shown t the Granma Fair Park, venue of the contest scheduled until next December 6.
Also, in the opening ceremony, the referees were presented who will take part in the judgment’s tournaments of the livestocks sample of sheep- goats, equine, for meat production and dairy cattle.
Sponsored by the Agriculture Ministry, the National Company for the Protection of Flora and Fauna, and the Cuban Association of Animal Production, the fair includes scientific expositions and conferences of specialists about diverse aspects of the agricultural branch.
The program foresees activities of great acceptance for the public, among them, parachuting exhibitions, horse racing, a contest of children painting, a festival of fighting fish, traditional games, dances and sale of industrial and agricultural products.
