Care and protection of the environmnet have been bolstered with children's participation at the green belts surrounding schools in Florida, Camaguey.

At the elementary and high schools of the municipality, the children are working in the creation of nurseries, the collection of cans or the making of bags to sow plants, as well as they encourage their relatives to give their contribution with the seeds delivery.

As part of these actions, in the southern part of the territory, a Tocorooro project is developing that promotes the rescue of the mangrove swamp and the sowing of trees for the production of timber and fruits, mainly in the areas near to the community, all this is really a good experience.

These actions in favor of reforesting are part of the operation named “Green Cuba” underway for a whole year.
