The 30th edition of the Caribbean Festival will be held from July 3 to 9 in Santiago de Cuba.
According to Orlando Vergés, president of the Caribbean House, the attendance of some 150 Cuban groups are expected and a wide representation of foreign artists.
The event will be dedicated to the island of Curaçao and the Brazilian State of Pernambuco with large delegations.
This event encourages the participation of popular creators and for this it has created spaces dedicated to artistic performances and some others that favour the theoretical debate, such as the colloquium on the Caribbean that joins us.
Other attractions will be the traditional Desfile de la Serpiente (The Snake’s Parade) and La Quema del Diablo (The Burning of the Devil) , two of the most expected moments, together with the magical religious ceremonies, concerts and plastic arts exhibitions.
