Bolt's manager Simms said the star sprinter is still to make up his mind on his participation and will decide next year.
Simms told reporters: "I have spoken to Bolt's coach Glen Mills, who confirmed that no decision will be made about Usain's participation in the Commonwealth Games until May-June 2010 when he starts racing in the IAAF (International Association of
Athletics Federations) Diamond League.”
Kalmadi, on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) summit at Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, said Bolt would be the star attraction in the Delhi Games scheduled for October 3rd through the 14th next year.
Kalmadi also said: “I have not said anywhere that he has committed to participate. There is still a long way to go for the Games. I only said that I have asked the Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, and CWG chief Michael Fennell, who is from
Jamaica, that it would be great if Usain Bolt participates.
