A delegation of the American Federation of Labour-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) visiting Cuba met with Cuban trade union leaders Monday.

According to the agenda, the US trade union delegation will meet with relatives of the five Cuban anti-terrorist fighters held in US prisons, mostly known as The Cuban Five.

Gerardo Hernandez, Ramon Labanino, Fernando Gonzalez, Antonio Guerrero and Rene Gonzalez were arrested in September 12, 1998, when they were monitoring terrorist actions of anti-Cuban groups in Florida, USA.

Despite their innocence, the Cuban Five are serving harsh sentences from 15 years up to double life plus 15 years of prison.

The US visitors will stay in Cuba until January 16.
