Relationships between Cuba and Russia to be strengthened in 2010 Book Festival

In an exclusive interview to AIN, the diplomat emphasized the participation of the European country as the guest of honour to the event to favour the reencountering of the Cuban public with art and culture of the Russian nation.
Kamynin highlighted that the relationships between the two people are undergoing a good phase in every field, which will allow the undertaking of several bilateral projects prepared during the last year.
As part of the collateral activity program, the event will include the exhibition of scientific, historic, children and youth texts, among other themes.
According to declarations to the press from Oleg Vyazmitinov, representative in Cuba from the news agency Ria Novosti, the Russian delegation will include well known writers, artists, scientist, professionals, politicians and musical and sports groups.
He added that those visiting the Fortress of San Carlos de la Cabaña, the main seat of the literary event, will be able to enjoy cartoons, documentaries, contests and educational programs in the space of the stand dedicated to Russia.
More than 250 novels will be sold in the libraries during the 19th Havana International Book Festival, which will be held in Havana City from February 4 and until March 7, when it will end in Santiago de Cuba, after going through every province.
