Dominguez explained that this is a travelling exhibition that includes 150 engravings donated to the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets, which aims to reach all provinces.
He said the expo is dedicated to the young students of the academies of art, who will have the opportunity to observe the different techniques used such as silkscreen, xilography and chalcography.
“Hiroshima”, “Ofrenda”, “Martí”, “Fidel”, “Mi caballo”, “El Cristo”, “Rostros” y “Adoración de Eleguá”, are some of the works exhibited at the Art Center, in the city of Holguin.
”The province of Santiago de Cuba will be the venue for the next exhibition of Sortilegio de los ocres negros y grises, with the addition of about 40 new works”, Said Dominguez, who holds the Medal of Honor of the Fuji Museum, in Japan and the Ax of Holguin.
In the opening of the exhibition, Dr Maria Dolores Ortiz stressed the quality of the prints from Dominguez, which could be considered a metaphor for the existence of the author.
Nelson Dominguez has exhibited his works in countries like Japan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Italy, Greece, France, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the U.S. and Canada.
